The Ultimate Knowledge Hub for Thailand
Most Thailand guides recycle the same glossy advice — and leave you paying ATM fees, overpaying for SIMs, and losing your passport to a scooter rental shop. This hub is different. Every guide here is built on real-world experience in-country: what actually works for digital nomads in Chiang Mai, how to legally open a bank account on a DTV visa, and where the real cost of living lands once the tourist markup is stripped out.

3 Critical Mistakes to Avoid
- The ATM Trap: Thai ATMs charge ~220 THB ($6.50) per withdrawal. Always withdraw the maximum (20–30k THB) at once — and use a Wise or Revolut card to dodge the fee entirely.
- Airport SIM Kiosks: Suvarnabhumi kiosks charge a 200% tourist premium. Walk five minutes to a 7-Eleven or city mall and pay a third of the price for the same AIS or True Move SIM.
- Passport Deposits: Never leave your actual passport as a scooter deposit — it’s illegal and it’s leverage. Use 3,000 THB cash or a color photocopy instead.
