I recently swapped my protein shakes for coconut shakes here in beautiful Krabi, Thailand! But just because I’m in paradise doesn’t mean I’m skipping my workouts. Staying active is a huge part of feeling my best, especially when traveling.
Trying to find a solid gym in Krabi to continue your training shouldn’t be a frustrating search. You need clear, reliable information to avoid wasting time and money on a facility that doesn’t fit your needs. To solve this, I personally visited and trained at the three most popular gyms for tourists in the Ao Nang area: Get Well Fitness, Push Fitness Center, and Heroic Fitness Club.
I’ll break down each gym based on the factors that actually matter: the quality and range of the equipment, the price of a day pass, and the cleanliness of the facilities, including the showers and changing rooms. Whether you’re a serious athlete who can’t miss a session, a budget traveler looking for the best value, or simply someone who needs a clean and modern space to work out, this guide will give you a clear answer on where to go.
Krabi Gyms: The Bottom Line Up Front
| Gym Name | Day Pass Price | Optimal For |
|---|---|---|
| Get Well Fitness | 250 THB | Cleanliness & All-Round Use |
| Push Fitness Center | 150 THB | Lowest Price |
| Heroic Fitness Club | 200 THB | Best Equipment for Serious Lifters |

Now, let’s dive deep into what each of these gyms has to offer!
1. Get Well Fitness: The Clean & Friendly All-Rounder

Get Well Fitness was the first gym I visited, and it set a solid standard. It’s clean, modern, and has a friendly vibe that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. If you’re looking for a comfortable and motivating space, this is it.
Equipment & Facilities
- Layout: Two floors. Ground floor has weights; the second floor has cardio and a course room.
- Brands: Insight equipment, which is in good condition.
- Key Gear: Dumbbells up to 50kg, one squat rack, one Smith machine.
- Verdict: Sufficient for most people and standard workouts (push/legs). Lacks the variety of machines needed for advanced pull workouts or highly specific routines.

My Workout Experience
I had a great push day here! They have all the essential equipment for a foundational workout. However, when I came back for a pull day, I found the options a bit limited for my specific, more advanced routine. It’s absolutely perfect for most people, but serious athletes might find a couple of specialized machines missing.

Showers & Changing Rooms
This is where Get Well Fitness truly shines. The showers, toilets, and changing areas were hands-down the cleanest I found in all of Krabi. The lockers are free to use and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. It’s a huge plus to be able to freshen up in such a clean space after a sweaty session!

Price, Value & Extras
A day pass costs 250 THB, making it the priciest of the three, but you’re paying for quality and cleanliness. A bottle of water is 15 THB.
The Verdict: Who is it for?
This is the perfect gym for beginners, people who want to maintain a solid fitness routine on holiday, and anyone who places a high value on a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
2. Push Fitness Center: The Best Budget Gym in Krabi

This is a basic, no-frills local gym. Its single purpose is to provide essential lifting equipment at the lowest possible price. It has the raw, old-school charm of a classic local gym where people come to work hard.
Equipment & Facilities
- Layout: One long room.
- Brands: Mixed older brands like Body-Solid and Hammer Strength. The equipment is dated but functional.
- Key Gear: Dumbbells up to 50kg. The selection of machines is limited but well-thought-out, covering all major muscle groups.
- Verdict: Has everything you need for a fundamental workout, but nothing more. Do not expect variety or modern machines.

My Workout Experience
I was pleasantly surprised! It has that gritty, community gym feel. You come here to lift, and that’s exactly what you can do. Everything is functional and gets the job done. It’s proof that you don’t need fancy gear to have a killer workout.

Showers & Changing Rooms
Facilities are extremely basic. There is a provisional changing room and toilets. The single shower stall is located on the main training floor. It is not a comfortable or private space to change or shower.

Price, Value & Extras
150 THB for a day pass. This is the cheapest option available. Lockers are free.
The Verdict: Who is it for?
Choose Push Fitness Center if your only priority is the lowest price. It gets the job done for a basic lifting session. Avoid it if you require clean or private changing facilities.
3. Heroic Fitness Club: The Ultimate Bodybuilder’s Paradise

Okay, serious athletes, this one is for you! Heroic Fitness Club is an absolute beast of a gym. It’s packed with high-end equipment and has everything you could possibly need for an intense, no-compromise workout session.
Equipment & Facilities
- Layout: A large, zoned space with separate areas for cardio, weights, deadlifting, and boxing.
- Brands: Fully equipped with high-end Technogym machines.
- Key Gear: Extensive dumbbell rack up to 60kg, multiple racks, a dedicated deadlift platform, and a boxing ring.
- Verdict: The best-equipped gym in Krabi, period. It can accommodate any advanced training program without compromise.

My Workout Experience
I was in heaven! As someone who loves to lift heavy and needs variety, Heroic had it all. The sheer volume and quality of the equipment mean you’ll never have to wait for a machine. I had an incredible workout and could follow my program perfectly.

Showers & Changing Rooms
This is the gym’s only major flaw. While the workout areas are fantastic, the showers and toilets were unfortunately very dirty and had a strong, unpleasant smell. It’s a real shame, because it’s the one thing that lets this otherwise amazing gym down.

Price, Value & Extras
200 THB for a day pass. Includes a free towel. A locker key requires a 100 THB refundable deposit. This price may simply reflect the off-season. I saw another sign, not on the counter, charging 300 THB for a day pass. I assume this sign is valid during the high season.
The Verdict: Who is it for?
Choose Heroic Fitness Club if your primary and overriding priority is access to high-quality, comprehensive, and heavy-duty equipment. This is the undisputed best choice for serious bodybuilders, powerlifters, CrossFit enthusiasts, or any dedicated athlete whose training program requires a wide variety of specialized machines, heavy dumbbells (up to 60kg), and proper platforms for deadlifts. The sheer volume of Technogym equipment means you will never have to compromise your workout. However, this recommendation comes with a significant condition: you must be willing to completely overlook the very poor state of the changing rooms and showers. Consider the day pass a fee for equipment access only and plan to handle all your post-workout needs, like showering, back at your hotel.
Final Recommendation: Making Your Choice
Your decision on which gym to use in Krabi is straightforward once you identify your single most important priority. There is a clear winner for each of the three main criteria: cleanliness, budget, and equipment quality.
Choose Get Well Fitness if:
Your non-negotiable is a clean, modern, and comfortable environment. You want a gym that feels professional, has well-maintained equipment for a solid all-round workout, and offers excellent, hygienic showers and changing facilities you’ll actually want to use. You are willing to pay a slightly higher price (250 THB) for this premium experience.
Choose Push Fitness Center if:
Your decision is driven entirely by budget. You need a place to lift for the absolute lowest price (150 THB) and are not concerned with modern equipment, amenities, or facility cleanliness. You simply need access to functional, basic weights and machines to get a workout done and are happy to forgo comfortable changing rooms.
Choose Heroic Fitness Club if:
Your training is serious and equipment is the only thing that matters. You follow a specific, demanding program and require access to the best and most extensive range of machines and free weights. You need heavy dumbbells, proper deadlift platforms, and variety that other gyms lack. You are willing to accept the significant trade-off of very poor, unclean changing facilities in exchange for access to this top-tier equipment at a reasonable price (200 THB).
