So I’ve been living in Chiang Mai, Thailand for 3 years now, and I’ve got to say it’s such a relaxed environment. I have a regular routine, I’ve been meeting friends and slowly building my online portfolio.

But sometimes it’s too relaxed, I’m just wondering if I should live somewhere else to get out of my now comfort zone. And I’m thinking Vietnam.

What are your thoughts on this? And which part of Vietnam do you think I should consider?

BTW, i’m such a huge fan of vietnamese coffee, that’s why Vietnam is in the top of my list.

      Thanksss!

      Hey Leo!

Do it. Vietnam will kick you out of the Chiang Mai comfort bubble in the best way. I did six months in Hanoi and the energy, café culture, and constant motion pushed my work forward fast.

If you want pure momentum, go Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). If you want creative vibe with seasons and mood, try Hanoi. If you want a calmer base with beaches and focus, Da Nang is a sweet middle ground. And yes, the coffee lives up to the hype!

Real talk, be ready for a couple challenges: air quality can get rough in Hanoi during winter (I used an air purifier at home and picked indoor gyms), and visas/admin can be a moving target (rules change, use a solid agent and keep buffers). If that sounds fine, book a month, land, grab a SIM, pick a coworking spot, and let the city do the rest.

      Good luck to you brother.
